FAQ

If I don’t have a cast iron skillet what can i use?

In this recipe I didn’t use my cast iron skillet, I used a silicone baking paper and a baking sheet (as you can see in the video) It’s a good way to make the pizza if you don’t have the skillet. But don’t forget to add a little olive oil on the silicone paper before adding the sourdough, and don’t forget to preheat the baking sheet with the silicone paper. If you forget either the olive oil or the preheating, the pizza will stick a little bit on the paper.

Can I use other ingredients on the topping?

Yes, absolutely, you can use any veggies or meat you have on hand.

Don’t forget to feed your sourdogh a few hours before making the pizza

Can I double the amount of sourdough in the pizza?

I don’t recomend adding 2 cups of sourdough into the skillet. It will be very thick and you’ll need more time to bake the pizza. If you want you can try adding 1 cup and a half but I prefer just using 1 cup. Although if you have a very very large cast iron skillet maybe 2 cups it’s okay, but I have not tested it yet.

Make your sourdough is very simple but you have to feed it every day. If you want to learn how to make a glutenfree sourdough starter check out my post here
